SPECIAL -THE WORKER

Part of the pleasure of photography for me lies in the isolating and focusing upon detail that normally we overlook, or simply do not notice. The picture of a hoverfly at work - a selective enlargement from the picture above, was one of those happy accidents when I was in the garden in Leeds, making photography of some of the garden flowers. Fortunately I was working with a tripod. The EXIF data for this photo has been lost so I cannot record the settings used, but I was taken on a Canon 40D (probably) using  the 24-135 mm Canon Pro series lens which I find a great all-rounder. The image here is re sampled for the web site, but the full size image is pin sharp even at 16 x 12 inch print. You can see the full-resolution image here but it may load slowly.
